What do you get

when you cross thrift store plates with thrift store candestick holders?

Super cute cake/cupcake/dessert stands.
I am IN LOVE with this blue one.
All it took was some cement called E6000 that I bought at Michael's and presto chango.

TIme for change

I have had this picture hanging around since Cameron and I were newlyweds, or, in other words, for a really long time. I have ignored it for quite a while and kind of forgot I still had it hanging on my wall. I noticed it this weekend and decided it needed to come down. I decided to change it up a bit so it would fit in better with my kitchen decor.
So I used some paint, some fabric, and my Cricut machine to cut out some vinyl and ended up with this.

Now I just need to figure out how to hang it above my stove, which has a solid granite backsplash, without drilling any holes. Any suggestions?

Boys, Boys, Boys

I know at least a dozen ladies who are pregnant or have given birth in the last couple of weeks and every single one of them is having or has had a boy. Not a single girl in the whole bunch! I very jokingly asked Cameron if we should hurry and get pregnant. He very seriously answered, "NO!" No worries, I always wanted a house full of girls so life is good!  Anyway...I have had a lot of fun making some more little boy onesies and burp cloths for gifts.

Reversible Apron

Another stash busting project. I listed it on Etsy, but I like it so much, I won't be too upset if it doesn't sell because then I can keep it for myself.

Patriotic Kitchen Stuff

Here is another project that used up some scraps from my bin. I am swimming in scrap fabrics and trying to find ways to clean out my sewing room. I'm hoping to get productive and use up some more scraps over the next few weeks.

Winnie the Pooh Blankets

This week, I used up some scrap fabrics that I had left over from a baby quilt I made a few years ago and made a patchwork baby blanket
and this little lovey/tag blanket.

Preschool Graduation Cake

The twins have their preschool end of year program/graduation this morning. They don't actually graduate until next year, but I am donating the cake. The buttercream was not nearly as smooth as I wanted, but I didn't have the time or energy to fight with it. The crayons have all the names of the kids who are graduating instead of the colors.

Apple Pear Bear

I started listing a few things on Etsy when I have time to make extra stuff. Yesterday, I got an email from a lady who saw the bears I have on there but wanted to custom order one. I was a little nervous at first, but I think she turned out great.  I finished her this morning and here she is:

Torstun's Birthday

My nephew turns 2 this month. I made him a drum and a guitar T-shirt so he can unleash his inner rock star. YIKES--I better get these in the mail or they aren't going to make it on time.

Jewelry Organizer

I made this to keep my dangly earrings and necklaces from getting all tangled. I have a jewelry box but it had run out of room and my necklaces just don't fit. It's an open back frame with chicken wire and fabric mounted to the back and screw hooks put into the bottom.

Cupcake Onesie and Burp Cloth

These were for a good friend's baby. They aren't half as cute as the baby is.
